SIKESTON -- Charges were formally filed against a Sikeston man in the weekend shooting death of a Sikeston woman and the injurying of her boyfriend. Robert Eugene Madison is charged with second degree felony murder, armed criminal action, assault in the first degree and burglary in the first degree in the shooting death of Shekiah Mitchell and injuring her boyfriend, Marcus Robinson, according to Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd. ...

GRASSY -- A Sikeston man sustained fatal injuries in a motorcycle accident Saturday in Wayne County. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 5:30 p.m., John E. Ward, 70, of Sikeston was driving his motorcycle westbound on Highway 34, seven miles west of Grassy, and an accident occurred when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
