Local foreclosures hold steady (09/27/09)
michellef@standard-democrat.com SIKESTON -- The number of local foreclosures appears to be steady, if not down -- partially due to greater cooperation between home owners and lending institutions. So far this year, the Standard Democrat has run as much ad space devoted to legal ads concerning foreclosures as it did in all of 2008. Guidelines state all such listings be printed in five publications, and several counties use the newspaper to publish their listings...
