BREAKING NEWS: Former House speaker faces charges (12/07/09)
BENTON - Charges of second degree assault were filed late Monday afternoon against Rod Jetton, former speaker of the Missouri Legislature. Charges stem from an incident on Nov. 15, when Jetton is accused of causing serious physical injury to a Sikeston woman by "hitting her on the head, and choking her resulting in unconsciousness and the loss of the function of a part of her body," according to a complaint filed by Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd...
