SIKESTON -- With only six weeks left before The Moving Wall makes a return visit to Sikeston, organizers still need of volunteers to help with the five-day event. Budget amended to ensure roads will be repaired (07/30/10)
CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County will move funds from its reserves to ensure it repairs as much distance on its county roads as possible this year. On Thursday, commissioners held a public hearing for a budget amendment to move $200,000 from its reserve fund to the road and bridge department for the purchase of asphalt materials.
