Scott County looks at redistricting options (05/11/11)
BENTON -- Scott County's second district associate county commissioner may hand off a township to the first district's representative. County commissioners looked at their redistricting options during their regular meeting Tuesday. Due to population changes as found by the 2010 Census, County Commission district lines must be redrawn. Nixon pledges to help area rebuild (05/11/11)
SIKESTON -- "We are in this for the long haul," said Gov. Jay Nixon as he pledged $25 million in state funds to help counties and communities with their costs of responding to flooding that has affected much of southern and southeast Missouri. BENTON --- A joint investigation by the Scott County Sheriff's Office and the city of Benton Police Department led to the drug-related arrests of three Scott County residents.
