BENTON, Mo. - A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Sikeston resident on drug charges. James A. Groves Jr., 30, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and the misdemeanor of possession of dug paraphernalia. While the skies will continue sunny today through Wednesday, the cold temperatures will keep much of the white stuff around. I don't know what everybody else thinks about it, but I think giving children iPads at school is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. They are not even going to know how to write their name. And what is the teacher gonna do - stand up there and watch them punch on their iPads? They can do that at home. They probably don't even need a teacher. That's all they do is get on computers and iPads. They need to learn how to do something else in school besides that. That's ridiculous...
