In the bottom of the first inning Megan Britt led off with a single for East Prairie and later scored on a passed ball.
Charleston had no immediate answer, but in the top of the third the Lady Bluejays tied the game on a Brittany Stack single that brought in Emily Dugan for the run.
The Lady Eagles went back on top in the bottom of the fourth, and in the fifth inning both teams rattled off four runs apiece. Charleston scored their runs on three hits, two errors and a couple of walks, while East Prairie recorded three consecutive singles and eventually plated four.
In extra innings, the Lady Bluejays scored on a passed ball in the top half of the eighth, but the Lady Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom half, including the winning run scored by Rachel White that was walked in while Blaire Peters was at the plate.
Adalyn Woodard picked up the victory for East Prairie, going the distance giving up 12 hits and striking out six. Kayla Mackenzie allowed 14 hits and eight walks for Charleston in the loss. Mackenzie had two strikeouts in eight innings pitched.
Britt was 4-for-5 at the plate with an RBI and a double for the Lady Eagles, while Dugan and Jordan Duenne were both 4-for-5 with two doubles apiece.
