BENTON -- Friends and family of the Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Butrum are invited to attend a golden anniversary celebration in the couple's honor beginning at 11 a.m. April 6 at New Hope Baptist Church, 204 Rodgers St., in Sikeston.

Butrum and the former Carolyn Long were married April 4, 1958, at Benton. The couple's children, Diane Chappell, Cindy Reed and the Rev. Matthew Butrum, will conduct church services. A potluck dinner will follow the morning service with a cake and punch reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
