SIKESTON - The Pitman Tailors and Cleaners will reopen this Tuesday after being closed during January while Mr. Pitman has been "streamlining" his business, which he has operated for the 27 years that he has lived in Sikeston. All machinery has been reworked and the office has been rearranged.

SIKESTON - Councilman Don Pasaka, whose term is office is expiring this year, has filed with City Clerk John Vaughn for re-election in the municipal election.

SIKESTON - The Department of Public Safety reports the recovery of stolen property taken in burglaries at Danny's Small Engine Shop on Feb. 2 and Bridger Construction Co. on Jan. 28.

SIKESTON - Melanie Vines was crowned Sikeston High School Winter Sports Queen Friday night. Vines, a senior, was escorted by Robert Mullins. She is the daughter of Jim and Bobbie Vines of Sikeston.


SIKESTON - Let it not be said the Sikeston Bulldogs don't get up for a big game. After struggling for points in two of their last three games, the Bulldogs hammered the Poplar Bluff Mules with blistering shooting in an 85-64 rout on Friday night at the Sikeston Field House.
