EAST PRAIRIE - A burglary case under investigation in East Prairie this week was brought to a successful conclusion.
According to East Prairie Police Chief Danny Lafferty, Billy Stallings of 208 Lee Ave. reported a burglary to his home on Monday. Forced entry was made through a garage door and Stallings reported the theft of a .20 gauge shotgun, .32 caliber pistol, two 15-inch Fosgate speakers, two Pioneer speakers and a Sony Play Station.
Investigation of the case by Sgt. Lorie Christian led to the arrest of Jeremy Jackson, 17, of East Prairie. Jackson, who is charged with burglary and stealing, is incarcerated in the Mississippi County Jail, where bond is set at $10,000.
Deputy David Watson with the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department assisted the police department with the recovery of the stolen items at a residence outside of East Prairie. Lafferty said all the items were recovered.
