SIKESTON -- Lawren Beth DeWitt and John Scot McMullan exchanged wedding vows in a candlelight ceremony Nov. 29, 2003, at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Allen Shriver performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Debi DeWitt of Sikeston and the granddaughter of Geneva DeWitt and Rutha Wylie.
Her husband is the son of Judith McMullan of Meridian, Miss., and the late Richard Batte McMullan. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Kubilis of Brandon, Miss.
Amy Oliver attended her sister as matron of honor and Katie Lape, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The junior bridesmaids were Harper Bryant and Claudea Kuykendall. Kathleen Oliver, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
An honorary position of best man was held by the bridegroom's late father. Groomsmen were Revis Ray Joiner III of Alexandria, Va., and Eric McNair of Homewood, Ala., friends of the bridegroom. Beau Bryant served as ring bearer.
Laura Hunter, friend of the bride, was the guest book attendant.
A dinner reception was held in the banquet room of the Malone Avenue Grill in Sikeston.
The mother of the bridegroom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Susie's Bake Shoppe and Restaurant in Sikeston.
Following a trip to New Orleans, La., the new Mr. and Mrs. Scot McMullan are making their home in Starkville, Miss.
