CHICAGO - Johnny Lee Watson, 51, died at 6:25 p.m. Feb. 11, 2004, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago.
Born June 9, 19152, in Chicago, son of Willie and Ozie Watson of Chicago, he graduated from Bell City (Mo.) High School and returned to Chicago in 1972. He was employed by Whitney Young High School in Chicago at the time of his death.
He was married to Rosemary Howse.
Other survivors include: seven children, Johnny Watson Jr., Antwoinne Watson, Carl Watson, Cynthia Watson, Quiana Watson, Patrice Watson and Tyron Watson of Chicago; five brothers, Lee Watson of Chicago, Willie Lewis of Robbins, Franklin Watson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Milton Watson of Houston, Texas, and Levi Watson of Baytown, Texas; five sisters, Christine Marshall of Chicago, Penelope Watson and Patricia Watson of Kenosha, Wis., and Renee Edwards and Rochell Walker of St. Charles; and a special friend, Linda Richardson.
Services were conducted Friday at the Apostolic Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ in Chicago with the Rev. Derrick Condiff, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago.
Pallbearers were: Wayne Baker, Marcus Echols, Derwin Howard, Ellis Howard, Milton Howard and Johnny Pullen.
Honorary pallbearers were: Lee Watson, Milton Watson, Franklin Watson and Levi Watson.
Wallace Broadview Funeral Home of Broadview was in charge of arrangements.
