SIKESTON - Vonda Lee Snyder, 68, died at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 6, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 15, 1935, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Hayward Joseph and Verna Ussery Poe, she graduated in 1953 from Cape Central High School. She lived in Southern California for 35 years where she was a typesetter in the newspaper industry. In 1982, she began full time ministry with her husband. For nine years she lived in Seminole, Okla., where she co-founded the Seminole Foursquare Church in 1990. She moved to Sikeston four years ago, where she was a member of the Living Bread Fellowship Church.
On March 25, 1956, at Cape Girardeau, she married the Rev. Bill Snyder who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Ken Snyder of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Kathy Pahssen of Sikeston; two brothers, Don Poe of Shawnee, Okla., and Dan Poe of Cape Girardeau; and one granddaughter.
One sister preceded her in death.
No visitation is scheduled.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Joseph Chastain will officiate.
