Harold Cogdill

MONTICELLO, Ill. - Harold Cogdill, 72, died at 4:10 a.m. Sept. 1, 2004, at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana.

Born Oct. 10, 1931, in Mississippi County, Mo., son of the late James and Hazel Cogdill, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include: three sons and one daughter-in-law, Dale and Christie Cogdill of Monticello, Terry Cogdill of Las Vegas, Nev., and Greg Cogdill of Champaign; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tenna and Phil Knox of Monticello and Jaime and Brandon Upton of Bement; two brothers, Bill Cogdill of East Prairie, Mo., and George Cogdill of Charleston, Mo.; and 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
