Early morning fire

An officer with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety rushes into a house fire early this morning on Wilson Street. The fire began at about 4:30 a.m. and a small child was reported trapped inside when fire fighters arrived on the scene. The blaze was contained mostly to the attic area and no injuries were reported. The residence received extensive smoke and fire damage.
