EAST PRAIRIE --
Cletus Allen Crum, 84, died at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 21, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1919, in Corinth, Miss., son of the late Harmon A. and Sallie Barger Crum, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County and Lake County, Ind. A member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie, he retired from East Chicago Machine and Tool Co. in East Chicago, Ind., in 1982.
On May 23, 1942, he married Nellie Faye Williams, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Shirley Mogler of New Palestine, Ind.; two sons, Daniel Crum of Middleburg, Fla., and Gary Crum of Lowell, Ind.; three brothers, Cecil Crum of Calumet City, Ill., J.W. Crum of Gary, Ind., and Jack Crum of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Bertha Fisher of Greenback, Tenn., Ozell Griffin of California and Pauline Fowler of Birmingham, Ala.; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Deward and Grady Crum, and one sister, Laverne Anderson, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday with the Revs. George White and Jon Archie officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
