ANNISTON - John Tatum, 89, died at 9:15 a.m. March 12, 2004, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Born Aug. 27, 1914, at Anniston, son of the late Paul and Ethel Krauss Tatum, he was a retired farmer and member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.

On March 6, 1946, he married Mabel L. Blackwell who preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2003.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Allen and Nancy Tatum of Charleston and John Wayne and Melissa Tatum of Anniston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and J.R. Fulton of Corsicana, Texas, and Mary Ann and Dennis Rolwing of Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Phil Tatum of Anniston; and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

One sister and two infant brothers also preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday. Berl Britt and Mike Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
