NEW MADRID - Leon M. Hall, 85, died Feb. 18, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.
Born June 11, 1918, in New Madrid, son of the late William and Dora Phillips Hall, he lived in Tallapoosa and New Madrid all his life and was a retired farm laborer. He served with the U.S. Army in New Guinea, the Philippine Liberation and Luzon and was awarded three Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include: one brother, William Lee Hall of Pontiac, Mich.; and one sister, Marie Caudle of Oran.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. Monday until service time at 11 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.
The American Legion Post 595 Honor Guard of New Madrid will conduct graveside military rites at Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
