Artists' interests blossom into Red Geranium Studio

Sunday, April 18, 2004

CHARLESTON - The Red Geranium Studio and Gallery, owned by local artists Glenda Manche and Joan Robbins, has opened in Suites 103 and 104 of the Russell Hotel and Cafe, 200 East Commercial St.

Plans include shows, gallery exhibition, classes and a walk-in studio to allow visitors to watch the artists as they work. In addition Manche and Robbins will offer commission work, paint murals and for shows and exhibits. Guest artists will be invited to show their work periodically.

The owners/artists said they hope "the public exposure to fine art will bring people to The Red Geranium and inspire everyone to take home an original work of art."

Plans call for a grand opening in May.
