CHARLESTON - Lonnie R. Henry, 49, died Sept. 28, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 13, 1952, in Charleston, son of the late Lanie and Edith Fulton Henry, he was a lifelong resident of Charleston and graduated in 1971 from Charleston High School. He was employed by Gates Rubber Company and member of the Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance in Charleston, where he was Sunday school superintendent, a Timothy Crusader Youth coach, choir member, trustee and church state marshal.

On July 30, 1988, he married Virgie Scott who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Crystal Lynn and Robert Jones of Sikeston and LaConnida Louise Scott of Charleston; one brother, Robert Henry of Bertrand; two sisters, Alice L. Jones and Caseline Henry of Charleston; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Elder Jesse McNeil will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
