Harry Gibson
SIKESTON - Harry Leroy Gibson Jr., 62, died Oct. 3, 2001, at his home.
Born July 15, 1939, in St. Louis, son of the late Harry Leroy and Dorothy Irene Nelson Gibson Sr., he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been a technician with Heartland Oxygen Medical Equipment in Sikeston and was presently employed at an axe factory in Bernie.
Survivors include: two sons, Jean Paul Gibson of St. Louis and Andre Leroux Gibson of Kansas City; two daughters and one son-in-law, Betsy and David Ferguson of Marquand and Sophia Maria Mathis of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces, Tommy Sheppard of Rockview, Debra Kay Keesee of Cape Girardeau and Kelly Ann Pollard of Highland, Ill.; and a special friend, Sharl Ann Smith of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Sue Mays on Aug. 19, 2000.
Friends may call from noon Saturday until service time at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Terry McKee, pastor of the Bethel AME Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Triplett Cemetery in Dexter.
Pallbearers will be: Tim Jarrett, Jim Baker, Kenny Nave, Caleb Kirkpatrick, Frank Kirkpatrick and Tommy Sheppard.
