Marjorie Duncan

NEW MADRID - Marjorie Jean Duncan, 68, died at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 22, 2001, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 27, 1932, in New Madrid, daughter of the late Cully Smith and Inez Jones Smith, she was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in New Madrid.

In 1952, she married Bill Duncan who preceded her in death in 1988.

Survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Standard of St. Louis and Julia Nicholas of Chicago, Ill.; one son Dennis Duncan of St. Louis; one brother, George Smith of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.

One son, Bubba Nicholas, also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from noon Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles K. Burton Jr. will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid.
