DEXTER - Orville Coffey, 95, died Aug. 21, 2001, at Mulberry Manor.
Born July 15, 1906, at Essex, son of the late Lawrence and Nora Warren Coffey, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter where he served as a deacon. He had owned Coffey's Jack Spratt General Store in Parma.
On Dec. 14, 1929, at Piggott, Ark., he married Marie Worley who preceded him in death on May 16, 2001.
Survivors include: one son, Bob Coffey of Dexter; one daughter, Janie Caby of Kansas City; one brother, Loren Coffey of Dexter; one sister, Hazel Gisi of Essex; and seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were one brother, Russell Coffey; and one sister, Loraine Fraser.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
