CHARLESTON - Lucy I. Dobbins Cox, 74, died at 12:29 p.m. March 18, 2004, at her home.
Born April 21, 1929, in Hamilton, Miss., daughter of the late W.E. and Mattie Lee Stevens Dobbins, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was a member of the Bridges United Methodist Church.
On May 23, 1964, she married Adon B. Cox who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Billy Gene Allen Jr. of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; four daughters, Donna Sue Neumeyer of Charleston, Karen Allen Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., Deborah Allen of Jacksonville Beach and Lillian K. Beck of Altamont, Ill.; three brothers, Sam Dobbins of Harrisburg, Ark., and Leroy Dobbins and Ellis Dobbins of Truman, Ark.; one sister, Opal Pippinger of Truman; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Gary Dale Allen; and one granddaughter, Allisyn Jessica Neumeyer.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Quist, pastor of the Bridges United Methodist Church and the Rev. Jerry Willer, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Perryville, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
