BLOOMFIELD - Rosa Belle Pruett, 84, died March 17, 2004, at the Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Born Dec. 6, 1919, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late W.D. and Stella Carson Walker, she was a lifelong resident of Stoddard County. A member of Liberty General Baptist Church at Aid, she was a member of the Liberty Hill Missionary Society, Gideons Auxiliary and the Aid Extension Club since 1979. She was a receptionist for Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield for many years.

On Sept. 18, 1937, at New Madrid, she married Ellis Pruett who preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Gale Pruett of Advance; two daughters, Freda Mott of Guthrie, Okla., and Vicki Griffin of Edmond, Okla.; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

An infant child and 12 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Kevin Eskew will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Harper Cemetery at Aid.
