ROULETTE, Pa. - Alice Curry Sauers, 68, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died March 26, 2004, at her home, following an extended illness.
Born July 1, 1935, in San Angelo, Texas, daughter of the late E.E. and Grace Daniel Foster Jr., she was active with the Rainbow Girls and was a 4-H member. Also a member of the First Baptist Church of Galeton, she provided services to the elderly. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener.
On April 19, 1980, at San Angelo, she married William F. Sauers who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Chyrl and Dan Curry Parks of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Alan and Lindy Curry of Englewood, Colo., and Patrick Foster Curry of Corpus Christi, Texas; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, William F. and Doris Sauers Jr. of Lanoka, N.J., and Barry R. and Donna Sauers of Roulette; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marjorie Emfinger and Bettye and Earl Ayers of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ernestine Foster King; and one nephew, Lee Emfinger.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Knickerbocker (Texas) Community Church. The Rev. Francis A. Strouther will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Knickerbocker Cemetery.
The Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport is in charge of arrangements.
