PUXICO - Edna Dirickson Montgomery, 90, died Aug. 22, 2004, at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico.
Born Nov. 25, 1913, in Poplar Bluff to the late John and Myrtle Williams Short, she had lived in Puxico since 1970 and had previously resided in Qulin and Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Puxico.
In 1983, she married Cowan Montgomery, who preceded her in death in 1986.
Surviving are: three sons, Fred C. Dirickson of Puxico, Donald R. Dirickson of Bristol, Tenn., and Calvin W. Dirickson of North Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Norma J. Parkin of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Vivian McIntosh of Arkadelphia, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jimmy Parkin.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Terry Stockman of Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico.
