LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Denzel Williams, 91, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Aug. 21, 2004, in Little Rock.
Williams earned a masters degree in music from the University of Missouri and was a musician and educator for seven decades. During the 1930s to 1990s he played saxophone in various bands and combos, including the Senior All-Stars in Southeast Missouri. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
His wife, Nell Reagor Williams, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three children, Barbara Hubbard of Little Rock, David Williams of Bloomington, Ind., and Elaine Williams of Hot Springs; three grandchildren; and other relatives, including Imarene Moore of Sikeston.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating.
