CHARLESTON - Donald Lee "Donnie" Pullen, 53, died at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 21, 2004, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Feb. 1, 1951, in Charleston to E.H. "Sonny" Pullen of Sikeston and the late Wanda Lee Hurley Pullen, he lived his entire life in Charleston where he was a member of the First Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4294. Employed by Pullen Brothers Trucking Co. of Sikeston, he was also a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge.

On June 12, 1970, he married Bonnie LaPlant, who survives of the home.

Surviving in addition to his father and wife are: one son, Lee Pullen of Charleston; one daughter, Stacy Groves of Charleston; four brothers, Jerry Pullen and Jim Pullen of Sikeston and Ronnie Pullen and Douglas Pullen of Diehlstadt; one sister, Jo Ann Weaver of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren, Lauren Groves, Logan Groves, Lindsey Pullen and Ryan Pullen of Charleston; and his brother- and sister-in-law, Jim and Brenda French of Charleston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jim Malugen, pastor of the First Christian Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy French, Eric Yant, Jimmy Pullen, Mark Williams, Randy McGill and Richard Galemore.
