TUPELO, Miss. -- Rick and Linda Caldwell have announced the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Leigh to Joseph Clinton Bell, son of Carolyn Clinton of Germantown, Tenn., and Joe Bell of Tupelo.
The future bride graduated in 2000 from Tupelo High School, where she was student of the year, Class Favorite, member of the Hall of Fame, served as Student Council president and was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated cum laude in May from the University of Mississippi, where her major course of study was English with a minor in Italian. While attending Ole Miss, she was named Senior Ole Miss Class Favorite 2004, member of Delta Gamma sorority, Delta Gamma Rush chairman in 2002, served as Ole Miss Campus senator and member of the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society.
Also a 2000 graduate of Tupelo High School, where the prospective bridegroom was a member of the 5A varsity football team and All-Region, he also served on the Student Council and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He graduated in May from the University of Mississippi, where he majored in business/marketing, also graduating from the American School of Real Estate. He served as president of the Ole Miss Business School, was vice president, a pledge trainer and chaplain for Sigma Chi fraternity, was Ole Miss Campus senator and served on the student staff for the Campus Crusade for Christ. His grandparents are Ray and Dorothy Clinton of Sikeston, and he is employed by Ray Clinton.
Following their wedding on Aug. 28, the couple will be residing in Sikeston.
