SIKESTON - Megan Swinney, Jennifer Haynes and Roxanne Thomas performed a ballet routine to the song, "Lydia Rose" during the recent Patti and Gerrie Ann Simmons Dancers annual recital. Kelly Carraway and Marcy Swogger performed a jazz routine to "Twilight Zone."


SIKESTON - Sikeston's Tiger Boyd could be one of two players sharing the spotlight when the Bulldogs travel to Poplar Bluff tonight. Boyd ranks first in area rushing statistics. The game will also likely have significant bearing on the Class 4A District 1 race which winds up next Friday.


SIKESTON - Ushering in the month of November is the Standard Democrat Calendar Girl Tracy Tinnin, daughter of Terry and Mary Beth Lee of Sikeston. She is a 1991 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School and is currently attending the University of Mississippi.
