LILBOURN -- Zallah Bell, 96, died Nov. 10, 2006, at Beverly Nursing Center in New Madrid.
Born Feb. 27, 1910, in Lilbourn, daughter of the late Gustavus and Amanda Jewel Ewing Tinsley, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a registered nurse and employed at Missouri Baptist in St. Louis and McLaren Hospital in Flint, Mich., before retiring.
On Oct. 23, 1937, she married John Howard Bell who preceded her in death in January 1989.
Survivors include: one son, John Bell of Grand Blanc, Mich.; one brother, Joseph Tinsley of Kansas City; one sister, Mary Rouland of Granite City, Ill.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. Bill Reid, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Dambach, Neal Ross, Dick Twitty, Jerry Webb, Arnold Simpson, Corky Crouthers, Wayne Grenier, Thomas Frechette and Bradley Ojeda.
