SIKESTON - Mrs. Hugh R. Cawthorn and her daughter Mary have purchased the Grugett and McCord Gift Shop from Mrs. Cawthorn's sister.
SIKESTON - The Sikeston Bulldogs downed Blytheville, Ark., 41-25 in the last game of the season. Fifteen members of the Dogs' team ended their season also, leaving a large hole for Coach Bill Sapp to fill.

SIKESTON - The cast of the Sikeston Little Theatre production of "The Music Man" is in its final day of rehearsal. The musical, scheduled for Nov. 20-23 at the Chaney-Harris Cultural Center, centers around a traveling salesman, Harold Hill, played by Ken Shields of Sikeston, and his attempt to swindle the citizens of a community. Hill coaxes Tommy, played by Jason Barnes, into being his "right-hand man." Tommy is being coaxed in another way by Zaneeta, played by Debbie Jackson.
SIKESTON - Now that the business of building is over, David Strom says the direction of the Sikeston City Library Board of Trustees will be to look inward. Re-elected to a second term as president of the board, Strom said updating the internal workings of the library is on the agenda.
