BLOOMFIELD - Dempsey George Patrick, 80, died April 15, 2004, at his home.

Born Jan. 8, 1924, in Clines Island, son of the late Eddie and Rosa Ethel Robey Patrick, he worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 32 years before retiring in 1983. He served with the U.S. Army and Air Reserves in World War II.

On March 15, 1958, he married Peggy Joyce Brown who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Derretta Patrick of Bernie; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mark and Robin Hopkins of Dexter and Hollie Overstreet of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Kara Hopkins and Laura Hopkins of Dexter and Ashley Overstreet of Bloomfield; his mother-in-law, Mary Brown of Bloomfield; one niece, Claudette Copeland of Morehouse; and two nephews, Bill Reynolds and Rocky Copeland of Morehouse.

Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. The Revs. Bob Holland and Bill Adams will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
