EAST PRAIRIE -- Queen Elizabeth Parker Griffith Henry, 87, died at 7:30 p.m. April 16, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 29, 1916, in the Barnes Ridge community near East Prairie, daughter of the late William J. and Mattie England Parker, she had lived most of her life in East Prairie, where she was a member of the First Church of God.
On Feb. 20, 1943, she married John Griffith who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1980. She later married John D. Henry Sr. on Jan. 4, 1983, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1994.
One daughter, Pamela Sue Griffith; five brothers, Charles Parker, Taft Parker, Jay Parker, Paul Parker and Lloyd Parker; and three sisters, Anna Woodward, Opal Bisher and Pearl Parker, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sisters-in-law, Johnnie Parker and Linda Parker of East Prairie and Anita Keyes of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Church of God in East Prairie with Rob Kespelher officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
