BERTRAND - Edith M. Crosier Diamond, 101, died at 8:22 a.m. Aug. 18, 2004, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

Born Jan. 28, 1903, at Barbourville, Ky., daughter of the late Samuel Joe and Nancy Shelton Shively, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She retired as a seamstress for the Buckner-Ragsdale Company in Charleston and was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.

Her first husband, Claude Crosier, preceded her in death in 1956.

On April 28, 1980, she married Lloyd Diamond and he died in February 1995.

Survivors include: one son, Don Crosier of Barlow, Ky.; four daughters, Ruth Leppen of Romulus, Mich., Edith "Mickey" Sisk of Bertrand, Wanda Swensen of Peoria, Ill., and Bonnie Collier of Villa Ridge, Ill.; and 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

One son, Clarence Crosier, seven brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dale Huff of Benton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Steven Sisk, Barry Sisk, David Collier, Kyle Chipman, Bryan Dorsey and David Bess.
