MOREHOUSE - Frankie Mae Haley, 76, died Aug. 17, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.
Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Morehouse to the late Marion and Mildred Pennington Spurlin, she was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Scott City. She was a business owner and a waitress prior to her retirement.
She was married to Roy Eldon Haley, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1978. One daughter, Katherine Wallace; three brothers, William "Bubber" Spurlin, Buddy Spurlin and Marion Spurlin Jr.; and one sister, Mildred Spurlin, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia Turner of Morehouse and Lisa and Mike Ellison of Scott City; one brother, James "Pete" Spurlin of Sikeston; two sisters, Bonnie Rodgers of Wappapello and Julie Grubbs of Dexter; and nine grandchildren, Bobby McGrain and Stephen Wallace of St. Louis, Matthew Evans and Ashley Evans of Sikeston, Connor Wallace of Vanduser, Seth Miller and Grant Ellison of Scott City, Zachary Rowell of Wappapello and Stephen Ellison of Abilene, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Eskew of Sikeston and Megan McGrain and Robby McGrain of St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Larry Rouse, pastor of the First General Baptist Church in Scott City, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
