Early morning fire

Sikeston Department of Public Safety firefighters responded to a call at 2:32 a.m. today of a fire at the corner of North and Young streets. DPS responded with two ladder trucks to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the vacant frame house and the roof caving in. DPS remained on the scene until 5:15 a.m.
