MORLEY - Death struck six times on Sikeston area highways over the weekend. Three were killed near Morley Saturday night and three died in a crash near Hayti. Three cars were involved in both accidents.
SCOTT CITY - The appointment of Thomas E. Cooley as executive director effective June 1 was announced Friday by the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority Board of Commissioners.
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Several local people participated in the Special Olympics, conducted recently at the Abe Stuber Complex in Cape Girardeau.
