BERTRAND - Dean Heaton, 65, died at 9:29 p.m. Oct. 10, 2007, at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1942, in Sikeston, to the late O.R. and Gussie L. Ogelvie Heaton, he was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Pullen Trucking and a member of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie.
On July 5, 1959, in the country of Mexico, he married Carol Sue Clark, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Deanna Heaton of Piedmont, Kelly and Melinda Heaton and Dewayne and Geri Heaton, all of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Ennis Roach of Charleston; one brother, Eddie Heaton of Salem, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Roger Jespersen of the United Methodist Church in Charleston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
