SIKESTON - Lawrence C. "Larry" Menz, 66, formerly of New Hamburg, died at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 2007, at his home.
Born May 12, 1941, in New Hamburg, to the late Clemens Frank and Loretta Ann Westrich Menz, he served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 3151. He received a bachelor of arts degree and also had a degree in theology from Kendrick Seminary in St. Louis. He had been the assistant manager of Orscheln Farm and Home Supply and Homestead Distributing Co. He had also served as manager and on the board of directors at Homestead Distributing Co.
On Sept. 10, 1966, in New Hamburg, he married Edith L. Penrod who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Harold C. Menz of Chaffee and Richard J. Menz of Sikeston; and seven nephews and 11 nieces.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where Knights of Columbus will hold parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Hamburg.
