Moore takes first in Super Pro

SIKESTON -- Max Moore Jr. of Bono, Ark., headlined the action at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday with a win in the Super Pro class.

Moore ran an elapsed time of 5.451 seconds with a dial-in of 5.43 at 122.54 miles per hour, while runner-up Joe Davis of Murphysboro, Ill., finished second with an E.T. of 5.892 at 113.32 mph.

In the Pro class, Will Wright of Advance took the checkered flag with an E.T. of 6.722 with a dial-in of 6.71 at 103.02 mph. Kevin Dean of Campbell took second with an E.T. of 6.681 at 101.87 mph.

David Leonard of Sikeston captured the ET class with a time of 11.275 seconds with a dial-in of 11.19 at 53.57 mph. Richard Smith of Bloomfield ran an E.T. of 9.832 with a dial-in of 9.80 at 70.63 mph to finish second.

In the EZ Street class, Bill Washmuth of Granite City, Ill., was the winner with an E.T. of 5.506 at 134.73 mph, while Wayne Joplin of Naylor took second with an E.T. of 6.521 at 77.47 mph.

Mikey Christiansen claimed first place in the Outlaw Street division with an E.T. of 5.110 at 140.14 mph. Chevy Slusher of Benton was the runner-up with a time of 5.556 at 125.27 mph.

Kristi Evans of Memphis, Tenn., was the Junior Drag class winner with an E.T. of 9.084 at 70.19 mph. Second-place finisher Taylor Bowman of Cape Girardeau ran an E.T. of 7.663 at 85.53 mph.
