BENTON -- Two Lilbourn men are in the Scott County Jail on drug-related charges.
Travis A. Johnson, 22, and Larry Marsh, 26, are charged with second degree drug trafficking. Bond is set at $100,000.
According to Scott County Sheriff Bill Ferrell, officers with the Scott County Sheriff's office were working a narcotic investigation with an officer from the SEMO Drug Task Force in the Sikeston area Thursday. During the investigation, officers received a tip there was a vehicle parked on a vacant lot in the area and the occupants were in possession of a large amount of crack cocaine.
Officers were told the subjects were selling the crack cocaine from the vehicle. Officers immediately made contact with Johnson and Marsh and seized what Ferrell described as "a large amount of a substance believed to be crack cocaine."
Johnson and Marsh will be arraigned in Associate Circuit Court in Benton today.
