SIKESTON - Three houses were damaged in early morning fires Sunday, according to Department of Public Safety incident reports.
At 4:55 a.m., DPS responded to a report of a fully-involved structure fire at 208 Dixie. When fire fighters arrived they found that houses at 206 and 210 Dixie were on fire as well as a tree on Alabama Street.
Extra personnel were called to help fight the large fire which took several hours to extinguish.
Fire fighters were called back to the scene at 8:04 a.m. Sunday when small flames on the rear wall of 210 Dixie were reported. That was followed by a rekindle of the fire at 12:29 p.m.
DPS would release no further information at press time.
