SIKESTON - The John Wilson family, who now reside at 110 Woodlawn, will move to their new residence at 916 North Ranney.

SIKESTON - The Civil Air Patrol begins its annual candy sale today, its 35th anniversary. Profits from the project will be used to buy uniforms and sponsor field trips.


SIKESTON - Earl Holt of Route Two Sikeston was hired as a patrolman today by City Manager W. Raymert Miller.


DEXTER - Brown Construction Co. was the low bidder for construction of the Dexter Memorial Hospital at $999,405. The bids from eight construction companies were opened Wednesday.

PARMA - Ralph Barnwell and Bill Nance recently conducted the St. Jude Marathon for grades one through three at Parma Elementary School, resulting in the children raising $600 for St. Jude Children's Hospital at Memphis, Tenn.

SIKESTON - The Missouri Delta Medical Center Foundation recently received privacy curtains to be used on Hall 2F at MDMC in memory of Judy Harper Lankheit.


SIKESTON - The VFW Memorial Stadium new concession stand project was funded by the VFW Post 3174 and by many private donations, one of which was made by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cloud of Dexter. This donation was made in memory of their son, Roger Cloud, who was a past Sikeston and American Legion baseball player. The American Legion Post 595 funded the new locker room just behind the home team's dugout. The building also has an office.


NEW MADRID - New Madrid County Central will try to improve on their 1995

-1996 14-12 record this season. NMCC has one win on the boards already this season over Caruthersville, and will respect as they host the Riverbend Classic over the weekend.
