It's Rotary Auction time

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Rotary's annual fall auction will be aired from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 16-18 on Sikeston cable channel 12.

For the second year, the auction is being held the week prior to Thanksgiving -- something that worked well last year, said auction chairman Bill Odom

"We received no negative feedback from the community about last year's auction and have received a really good response on items last year and this year," Odom said.

Proceeds from the event are used by the local Rotary to fund projects and services for more than 20 area charities. Following and during each night's auction, successful bidders may pick up their items at the Clinton building in Sikeston, which is located on Campanella Drive on the south side of the Sikeston Sports Complex.

A complete list of auction items will be printed in an upcoming edition of the Standard Democrat.
