'Red' Snider

CHAFFEE - Oliver Amos "Red" Snider Jr., 59, died at 10:55 p.m. Nov. 9, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 12, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Oliver Amos and Connie Marie Fox Snider Sr., he owned and operated Snider Trucking Incorporated in Chaffee and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

On Dec. 7, 1984, he married Rita Ann Boehmer who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, James Snider of Pacific, Jeff Snider of Chaffee and Zachary Snider of Oak Ridge; three daughters, Melissa Coleman of Potosi, Connie Koehler of Vandalia and Robin Snider of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Jim Snider of Chaffee; one sister, Carmen Brown of Charleston; and nine grandchildren.

Six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Fred Ritter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
