EAST PRAIRIE - Anderson Moore, 83, died Sept. 6, 2001, at his home.
Born June 25, 1918, in Hornsby, Tenn., son of the late James Walter and Callie Wilson Moore, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a retired farmer and had been a member of the Wolf Island Baptist Church.
On Jan. 26, 1943, he married Garnita Maxine Smith who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Geneva Givens of East Prairie; two sons, Charles Moore and Lester Moore of East Prairie; one brother, Albert Moore of East Prairie; three sisters, Ressie Hendrix of East Prairie, Mamie Hendrix of Morley and Mattie Williams of Illinois; and six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday. David Dowdy, pastor of the St. James General Baptist Church of East Prairie, will officiate.
Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
