PORTAGEVILLE - David Bryan "Wink" Forrester, 40, at 10:56 a.m. died Nov. 21, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Dec. 3, 1962, in Portageville, son of Betty Jackson of Portageville, he was raised by his grandmother Thelmer Forrester of Portageville. He was a farm laborer and fireman with the Portageville Fire Department.
On May 25, 1985, in Portageville, he married George Ann Lawson who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Leah Lawson of Portageville; one daughter, Kayla Forrester of Portageville; eight brothers, Manuel Asher and Wayne Forrester of Gainesville, Ervin Asher of St. Louis, Matthew Asher of West Plains, Henon Forrester, Buddy Forrester and Ronnie Forrester of Portageville and Mike Forrester of Sikeston; Linda Asbell of Gainesville, Judy Dill of St. Louis and Pat Thacker and Tina Asher of Portageville; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Forrester.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the First Assembly of God Church in Portageville. The Rev. Eugene Poole, pastor, officiated.
The Last Call will be presented by the Portageville Fire Department at the Portageville Cemetery.
Portageville firefighters will serve as pallbearers.
