SHEPHERD, Texas -- Charlie D. Laminack, 67, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., died Nov. 27, 2003, at his home in Shepherd.

Born Dec. 9, 1935, in Heflin, Ala., son of the late George Lee and Essie May Coley Laminack, he worked at the Ideal Cement Co. in Texas for many years before his retirement and was of the Pentecostal belief. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On March 3, 1955, in Morehouse, he married Mary Imogene McCool who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Billy Charles Laminack of Shepherd; three daughters, Deborah Gutierrez of Humble, Diana Lynn of Stafford and Mary Laminack of Livingston; one brother, Jim Laminack of Morehouse; two sisters, Lessie Simms of Dongola, Ill., and Faye Brady of Stockton, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Lena McGowen and Bettey McCutcheon, and three brothers, Albert Laminack, Gordon Laminack and Vernon Laminack, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Carroll McGruder of Kennett, Mo., and Clark Rone of Galena Park will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Mo.
